This is not an exhaustive list of all PL offered; it is simply a list of some current PL that is available. As always, please submit a certificate of completion to HR for CEU credit.

Global Educator Digital Badge (GEDB)
The Global Educator Digital Badge (GEDB) provides an opportunity for educators to focus their professional development on developing their own global context and understanding of how to integrate global education throughout curricula. It also provides the opportunity to build global competency in students. The State Board of Education approved North Carolina Global Educator Digital Badge (GEDB) is available for the following educator categories:
- Teacher
- Teacher Leadership Specialist
- Library Media Coordinator
- Instructional Technology Facilitator
- School Counselor
- Career Development Coordinator
- School Social Worker, School Psychologist
- Speech-Language Pathologist
- Instructional Central Office Staff

In this short video, educators, who have earned the NCDPI Global Educator Digital Badge (GEDB), shared their thoughts on the benefits of getting the badge and how it has impacted their teaching. K-12 Social Studies Professional Learning
Join the 2023-2024 "Spotlight on EPF Webinar Series” to help enhance your teaching of the Economics and Personal Finance (EPF) course. The webinars will offer an opportunity for teachers to interact with educators who will share instructional strategies and how they utilize vetted teaching materials to make EPF lessons engaging and meaningful for students. The webinar presenters will guide you through various lessons and activities using resources that align with the North Carolina Standards for Economics and Personal Finance.
The first session, on October 25, 2023, from 4:00 pm-5:30 pm, will showcase teachers from Guilford County Schools who teach the EPF course, along with an EPF Specialist in Guilford County Schools. Additionally, there will be a leader from the nonprofit NextGen Personal Finance (NGPF) who will provide examples of their no-cost, standards-aligned personal finance materials that have been featured at EPF summer professional developments.

NC Virtual Public Schools (NCVPS) Online PD for Educators
All Online Professional Development is available through Home Base.
Courses are offered in a self-paced format. View the table below for course titles, descriptions, and alignment to North Carolina Professional Teaching Standards. Please see Home Base for additional information.
To enroll, log into the NCEES system using your IAM/NCEdCloud username and password, then click the Professional Development tab. You can then search for a course by title or list all courses. Select the course you wish to register for, and on the course screen, click on the available section.
Need help? You can download instructions for accessing the Professional Development System, for finding, enrolling in, and withdrawing from courses, and for accessing your certificate.
Detailed models are provided in the Implementation Guide.
Credit types: All courses are marked in the NCEES PD System for general credit. However, courses may be appropriate for additional credit types as listed: G = general, L = literacy, DL = digital learning.

World Language Professional Learning
FLANC Fall Conference

Registration includes 3 pre-conference webinars, general sessions, scavenger hunt activities at the exhibit hall, continental breakfast and 2 lunches during the conference dates, and the Allied group business meetings on Sunday, October 8.

Foundational Series 2023
Saturday sessions at 11:00 am - 2:30 pm
The American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) is offering three half-day virtual workshops (via ACTFLearn Central and Zoom) on ACTFL fundamentals, which are designed for beginning educators or those new to proficiency-based teaching. Participants can register for 1, 2, or all 3 workshops:
- Foundations of the ACTFL Proficiency Guidelines on October 14
- Foundations of the World-Readiness Standards for Learning Languages on October 21
- Foundations of the NCSSFL-ACTFL Can-Do Statements on October 28
Attending each virtual workshop in its entirety (including completing the post-workshop tasks on the LMS) equates to 4 hours of professional development. Completing all three workshops in the series equates to 12 hours of PD. After registering, additional details about joining the ACTFLearn Central course for the workshop and accessing the Zoom meeting will be sent to participants several days prior to the workshop date.
