TRANSPORTATION
-
The mission of the Lexington City Schools Transportation Department is to awaken the potential in every child by connecting them with educational opportunities that will empower and inspire. We will serve our community by providing safe, reliable, and efficient transportation for its children, delivered through trained, professional, and compassionate personnel who reflect the core values of our school system.
-
Parents/guardians must contact their child's school to request Transportation Changes. Contact information can be found in the table below.
Important Information regarding Transportation Changes and Requests:- Parents/guardians requesting bus transportation throughout the regular school year should expect a three (3) day minimum turn-around to allow the Transportation Department to receive and process the request.
- Parents/guardians will have to provide transportation for their children to and from school during this time while transportation requests are being processed.
- Students will be removed from a route if they do not ride for ten (10) days.
-
Exception: There will be no disruption in service for students with excused absences or students participating in extracurricular activities such as seasonal sports. These students will not be removed from the bus route.
