Welcome Letter to LCS Beginning Teachers:
On behalf of the Lexington City School District, welcome and thank you for choosing Lexington City Schools to begin or continue your journey as an educator. The goal of the Beginning Teacher Support Program is to help beginning teachers improve their skills and build confidence to become successful educators. With the support of the North Carolina Department of Education and the Lexington City School District, including your administrators, colleagues and mentors, we believe you will reach your fullest potential as a teacher. It is our hope that as you grow as a teacher, so too will your passion and dedication to the profession of teaching.
As you embark on your three year path to a continuing license, or in some cases, continue on your path, use this web page as a resource for all the necessary information and documents you will need moving forward. Should you ever have any questions or concerns please reach out to your Beginning Teacher Support Team. Once again, welcome aboard and thank you for flying with the Yellow Jackets.
