AIG Parent Advisory Council

The AIG Parent Advisory Council advocates for all students who “…perform or show the potential to perform at substantially high levels of accomplishment when compared with others of their age, experience, or environment” (State Definition of AIG Students, Article 9B (N.C.G.S. § 115C-150.5)). The AIG-PAC is comprised of parent representatives from each school who meet on a quarterly basis. The purpose of this parent council is to advance awareness about meeting the needs of the total child at home and at school, to promote differentiated and challenging instruction for gifted students throughout the school day, to advance the awareness about an appropriate array of services for gifted children, to provide feedback and suggestions to improve AIG services to all students, and to discuss current, relevant AIG issues.
